Exam Information: Unit 5 Exam: Small group discussion, topic "What did the Polish people have to get used to after independence from the Soviet Union?  Discuss this with your parents or anyone else who clearly remembers this time.
Written parts: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading and writing.  If you have submitted (given) both writing assignments, you do not need/have to take the writing part of the exam in class.

to be based upon- phrasal verb:  1)to have has a foundation   English is based upon Latin and German.
'noun' -based- adjective form   2) English is Latin and German-based language.
3) to be based v. To be located or situated someplace   Some Polish soldiers are based in afghanistan.
4) intensive adj. 1 involving a lot of activity, effort, or careful attention in a short period of time:

She took a one-week intensive course in English.
